HOW DO I GET INVOLVED IN MINISTRY TO CHILDREN?

Because of the multiple services, adults can attend one service and serve in Ministry to Children during the other. Adults can be involved as Nursery workers, Sunday School Teachers, Children's Church workers, mid-week program leaders and helpers. There are a variety of service levels to minister at.

Check the church bulletin each week for current opportunities and updates involving our children's programs.

AGE GROUPS

The Ministry to Children organizes children by age groups:

1. Nursery - Which invests in infants from birth to 24 months.

2. Toddler's - which ministers to toddlers from 14 months as of September 1st in the fall, January 1st in the winter, or May 1st in the spring (who are walking) through age 3 as of September 1st in the fall, or March 1st in the spring.

3. Pre-School - Developed for children ages 2 to 5.

4. Elementary - Involving children in grades 1-5.

All your children shall be taught by the Lord, and great shall be the peace of your children. (Isaiah 54:13)

AGE-LEVEL GOALS

We focus on different areas at each stage of childhood development to meet the needs that children have at that particular time.

Nursery: Infant through 24 months

This age group is provided care through consistent workers that continue to build a base of trust and love that they are familiar with at home. This enables them to experience God's love.

Pre-School-Kindergarten: Ages 2-5 years.

The Biblical content and spiritual truths taught to pre-schoolers start to take on more of a personal meaning at this level. We seek to teach how God fits into their world and how they can learn to trust Him for their daily needs. This will help build a foundation for them to accept Jesus as their Savior.

Elementary: Grades 1-5

This is a world filled with movement, discovery, laughter and action. These children are ready for the basic truths of Scripture. We teach that they have personal responsibility to God and that they can feel secure in God's love and forgiveness.

MISSION STATEMENT

Our Aim is to reach, teach, and care for each child and lay a spiritual foundation that, in God's timing will lead them to a personal relationship with Jesus. That relationship is encouraged to grow by discipling and equipping them to be more caring and loving as followers of Christ, and to minister to others in their homes, neighbourhoods, Church and schools.

What True Faith Does

When we pray and ask God to increase our faith we open ourselves up to a spiritual journey. Hebrews 11 lists 16 ways that faith was released in the lives of people. Fourteen of them are God working in me and only two are God working through me.
